Online notarizations are just another method of notarizations. A document notarized online is just as valid and legal as traditional paper-based notarizations. Online notarizations are valid and enforceable in every state with their validity determined by applying the law of the notary's commissioning state. Notaries are required to perform notarizations in compliance with the state in which they are commissioned. Every state recognizes properly performed notarizations from other states.

When you book for a document to be notarized, you will be prompted to start or log in to your SIGNiX account. If you have never had documents notarized with Trusted Ohio Notary, your Zoom invite will prompt you through the process. You will be able to documents through your SIGNiX account should you ever lose the document you receive via email after the session ends.

Absolutely. Signers have the flexibility to complete a transaction together on a shared device, simultaneously on multiple devices, or in separate meetings. Each signer must complete the identification process separately and signers who miss the initial meeting, may still get their signatures notarized in a subsequent meeting.

MISMO stands for Mortgage Industry Standards Maintenance Organization. The SIGNiX software that is utilized for notarization has been deemed MISMO compliant which means that the software system has met standards that ensure the notarization process meets compliance standards via standardization, interoperability, and efficiency.
